How to Apply
The UC/CSU/Utility Partnership has historically consisted of three project types: Retrofit, Monitoring Based Commissioning (MBCx), and New Construction. The MBCx program, however, was discontinued among the IOUs in 2017. The Partnership continues to accept applications for Retrofit and New Construction projects. Campuses must fully develop the scope of a project prior to submitting an application. Specific project scope development may start with a preliminary engineering study to explore feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and building prioritization. Project applications should contain savings estimates with back-up calculations and costs for each measure in a project.
